Woman’s Service Club of Windham Baby and Toddler Shower

Woman’s Service Club of Windham Baby and Toddler Shower

Each year the WSCW sponsors a baby and toddler shower to benefit OUR PLACE, a program of Catholic Charities, NH. Since its inception in 1982, the primary goal of OUR PLACE has been to create safe, caring, and supportive family environments for babies and young children of low income, at-risk teens and adults parenting their first child. Through the generosity of our members and the Windham community at large, we are able to assist OUR PLACE in achieving their goal of helping these families build strong foundations by providing pregnancy and parenting education and support, resource information and advocacy, and the development of Life Plans that include goals through which they will move their lives forward in a positive direction.

Once again, the Nesmith Library has graciously given the Club space to collect donations for Our Place. Toddler clothing, books, diapers, baby wipes, baby wash and shampoo, and child safety items are greatly needed. We would very much appreciate your continued support of this project. Items may be placed in our collection cradle just inside the library’s main entrance from April 23 to May 7, or bring your gift to our May 4th meeting at 12:30 PM at the Town Hall and be our guest for dessert by contacting Linda Gallagher, 603-889-1422.

All donations will be delivered to Our Place in time for a Mother’s Day celebration. Your support in the early parenting experience helps build both confidence and a strong base for healthy family development.  We thank you for your assistance and participation.
