Woman’s Service Club of Windham and Windham Helping Hands Thank You

The Thanksgiving Families Project was a collaborative effort of the Woman’s Service Club of Windham, Windham Helping Hands, and the Windham Fire Department. After the Fire Department collected food from the schools, volunteers at Searles School and Chapel sorted and filled boxes of food for needy families in Windham on Monday, November 22 and Tuesday, November 23.
A heartfelt thank you to the following: American Legion Post 109, Coco Early Associates, and The DiPietro Group for their generous donations; Windham Public Schools, Wee Care Learning Center, and Windham Learning Tree Academy who conducted food drives; and the residents of Windham Terrace for baking and donating mini loaves of bread. A special thanks to Windham Junction for donating cooked turkey dinners.
Polly Chervincky, Patti Letizio, and Cheryl Haas, who coordinated this project, wish to thank all of the volunteers who generously gave their time to help make this project a success!
