Scholarship Applications Available February 2, 2026
The Woman’s Service Club of Windham will award three scholarships in May 2026. Two scholarships are for twenty-five hundred dollars ($2,500) each and are open to residents of Windham who have graduated high school or will be graduated in June of 2026. The third scholarship for $1000 is being awarded in 2026 in memory of Margot Luhrmann, a 35-year member of WSCW. The Margot Luhrmann scholarship is being awarded to a Windham resident and high school graduate who has demonstrated interest in the culinary or hospitality fields either through educational classes or employment.
The scholarships are awarded to students entering their freshmen year of college. Recipients are evaluated on the basis of academic achievement and demonstrated service to the Windham community. Financial need is also a consideration. The scholarships are awarded conditionally and will be presented at the Club’s January 6, 2027 meeting after the recipients have successfully completed their first college semesters.
