NOVEMBER MEETING

On Wednesday, November 6, WSCW members were treated to an outstanding program of traditional Irish music and storytelling by NH Humanities presenter Jordon Tirrell-Wysocki. Many members were tapping their feet to the lively tunes played on the fiddle. He used the guitar to accompany his dramatic songs of emigration, which reflected the reasons for leaving Ireland and the challenges the immigrants experienced in their new homes. His storytelling provided an historical context for the music. It was a most enjoyable program as well as an educational experience.
