Comfort Bags for Women Veterans or Their Spouses

The Woman’s Service Club of Windham created a second set of four “Comfort Bags” for women Veterans or spouses of Veterans recently diagnosed with cancer. They are  filled with soft throws, comfy socks, soft hats, lotion, anti-nausea ginger gummies, chap sticks, life savers, adult coloring books, coloring pencils and a home sewn heart pillow. They were filled by Judy Romano, Jean M. Marston-Dockstader, Cathy Sayles, Anne Biele-McClure, Carol Stoico, Mary Rosenberg, and Ruth Bellizzi. Debbie Ulbrich and Maryann Dorsey made the pillows. Additional heart pillows will be donated to a local cancer center. The chair of the donation committee is Ruth Bellizzi.
