April 7 Meeting

At the Wednesday, April 7 WSCW meeting via Zoom, Executive Director Cindee Tanuma and Program Director Susanne Peace of Community Caregivers of Greater Derry and The Loaner’s Closet spoke to the group. The goal of Community Caregivers is to support and assist the elderly and disabled of Windham and the other member towns to live independently in their own homes. Volunteers provide rides to medical appointments as well as grocery shop, visit, perform light housekeeping chores and do small home repairs. Their services are need based and not dependent on financial eligibility. The medical equipment in the Loaner’s Closet is loaned to anyone in the seven towns free of charge for as long as the individual needs it.
